The Covid-19 situation has been constantly adapting and making it difficult to operate events globally. Although the initial sentiment suggested that all systems were go for international flights to Spain, the Spanish government has made a dramatic U-turn due to a huge rise in infections on the island related to the Delta variant.
Venues in San Antonio remain open but with stringent social distancing measures. We will still be running Meltdown as the last minute change doesn’t allow sufficient time for some of our long haul passengers to change their travel plans. All customers have been emailed and offered the option to postpone tickets to 2022.
Events will follow the strict social distancing laws and abide by curfews. This is not the news we wanted, however we appreciate the patience from our amazing Meltdown customers and will endeavour to bring the Meltdown vibes whilst on the island.
With the announcement of several companies emerging with effective vaccines for the Covid-19 virus, the World economy has seen a boost with investors displaying a renewed confidence in a 2021 market recovery. This is also reflecting positively for travel and tourism with several governments planning to roll out vaccines in the first quarter of 2021, provided they pass safety assurance tests.
Companies such as Ticket Master have commented on new systems that require a Covid-Free check in system with proof of a vaccination or recently passed test for the virus prior to entry to events and festivals. More updates to follow.
